Markup
Introduction to 3DMarkup
3DMarkups have two purposes: to allow annotations on a component of drawing (or group of components in a colelctor) to highlight what the issues are that needs to be resolved as well as for comparing 3D and 2D data. Users can add images to the markup as needed, as well as text and shapes. The 3DMarkup can then be released and shared, allowing for easy collaboration with users across the enterprise. There is also the ability the comment and tag users in the 3DMarkup item, to notify users when necessary and to leave feedback as needed.
The compare tool within 3DMarkup, which works different from the Compare Widget, allows for the comparison of TWO 3D or 2D items to be compared against each other with color coding to highlight the differences. This "view" of the comparison is then released for all users to look at, which offers great traceability.
It is critical to have the settings set up correctly for the Compare coloring if used in a the change management process. If you are an admin (required to set up the settings) please view the Admin Section of this tab.
